indigenous job seekers placed with stoddart
For the past number of years, Stoddart has benefited from using Help Employment & Training to recruit talented job seekers with disability.
In September 2018, Stoddart discussed expanding their workforce diversity and inclusion, and approached HELP to assist them in building their Indigenous workforce.

With assistance from other providers including DATSIP and VTEC, a manufacturing training skill-set course was developed by CSTC and Stoddart. HELP presented a shortlist of Indigenous candidates who undertook HELP’s Deadly2Develop foundation skills, followed by the week-long manufacturing skills-building course. Finally, the group finished with a two week on-the-job, paid work experience placement.
Eight Indigenous job seekers are now employed with Stoddart and the employer couldn’t be happier.
“To be honest, I was hopeful we may get at least 2, but for 8 to join our team has blown me away” said a Stoddart Employer.
