Year 12 student Max has faced a number of challenges managing his Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy over the past few years, but that hasn't stopped him from achieving his goals. When Max met with HELP back in October 2020 he told Direct Placement Specialists Vin and Matt that he wanted to work in the Business Administration field, and was willing to pull out all the stops to land his dream job!
Fuelled by Max's enthusiasm Vin and Matt approached a range of employers across the Toowoomba region, before connecting with Angie and her management team. With Angie's business growing at such a rapid rate Vin and Matt pitched the idea of Max joining the team to help ease some of those administrative tasks that were quickly piling up.
Max and Angie hit it off straight away and set to organising the paperwork so he could get started ASAP! To ensure Max was fully supported in his new role, the team not only installed a ramp to improve accessibility at their main office, but they also became qualified in the administration of midazolam in case Max requires medical assistance.
Max is now completing a school-based traineeship (Certificate III in Business) at Angie's Domestic Duties and has already mastered the invoicing and accounting systems for the office.
