Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIAC)
The Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs oversees a diverse portfolio which includes visa issue (for both temporary and permanent stay in Australia), the granting of Australian citizenship and settlement assistance and information for migrants and refugees. The Department also supervises English language training for migrants and liaises with ethnic communities.

Greek Welfare Centre
The Greek Welfare Centre offers counselling (individual and family), advocacy, marriage education and links with mental health and ethno-specific aged care services. The Centre also facilitates group activities including youth groups, senior citizens, a 60 and Better program, a playgroup and a women's exercise group.

Multicultural Development Association
MDA promotes multiculturalism, acting as a strategic mechanism for empowering people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds through community development system advocacy, education and training, and through a range of service delivery activities. Refugee settlement support - provides initial settlement on arrival for up to 6 months. Continuing settlement support -provides information, advice and referrals for up to 5 years, including community education and development work. Multicultural advocacy program - advocate for
development of culturally sensitive and appropriate policies improve services from diverse backgrounds Multicultural employment and training program - assist with job training, applications, placements. Refugee and Immigration Legal Service Inc.
The Refugee and Immigration Legal Service specialises in refugee and immigration law, and also provides free legal advice and referrals to low income families and individuals on general legal matters. The service caters particularly for people from non-English speaking backgrounds. Free legal advice is available each Monday and Wednesday evening at 5.30pm. No appointment is necessary unless an interpreter is required in which case prior telephone contact with the Service is requested.

MCCGC helps people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds connect with the local community and have equal access to appropriate health and well-being services.

Multicultural Families Organisation Incorporated
The Multicultural Families Organisation provides services for all migrant women and their families including refugees, humanitarian entrants, new arrivals and long-term residents. Services include settlement information and referral, advocacy and counselling, community resourcing and other needs-based settlement support services. The organisation provides access to free translators, funded by Immigration Dept. Free English classes are also available.
