COVID-19 Update // Sep 2020
In light of easing COVID-19 related social distancing restrictions, the Australian Government is re-introducing mutual obligation requirements for job seekers receiving an income support payment. If Help Employment & Training is your employment services provider, then we are here to help you with your journey to employment and to meet your Australian Government requirements.
From Monday 28 September 2020, mutual obligation requirements in your Job Plan will be re-introduced. If you don’t meet your requirements, and do not have a valid reason, your income support payment may be effected. These arrangements are in place for all jobactive and Disability Employment Services participants.
What does this mean?
- You must engage in appointments with Help Employment & Training
You will have the opportunity to choose to receive services either by phone or face-to-face.
We will contact you to arrange your next appointment and to discuss whether you wish to opt into face-to-face servicing or continue to receive phone servicing, the choice is yours!
Please note: if you prefer to receive servicing by phone, please ensure you answer our call as a missed appointment may result in your income support payments being put on hold.
- You must have a current approved Job Plan
You can review if your Job Plan is current through your online dashboard. This can be accessed in the following ways:
- Log on to jobactive website
- Use the JobSearch App on your smart phone:
Apple Store link Google Play link
- Go through your myGov portal (if you have your Job Seeker account linked)
- Start recording your job search
Job searching will start being monitored again from 28 September. You can log your job searches via the jobactive website or on the JobSearch App.
